Thanks to a cinephil father, Julien grew up with French and Italian cinema as well as classic westerns. He soon became interested in photography and spent long hours in the darkroom. After a master of film science from the university of Montpellier he was working on filmsets as a gaffer assistant which led to an interest in postproduction and he got to be an assistent for Senior Colorist Sandra Klass at Chimney Pot, Oslo. Since then Julien has done over 60 feature films and numerous commercials for directors such as Joachim Trier, Martin Werner, Reynald Gresset, Martin De Thurah and DPs such as Daniel Voldheim, Jakob Ihre, Benjamin Loeb, Kasper Tuxen, Sebastian Blenkov, Daniel Bouquet, Khalid Mohtaseb and Steve Annis amongst others. Working on both Baselight and Resolve, he is based in Oslo and available worldwide remotely.
