Julien’s passion for cinema was sparked at an early age, thanks to his cinephile father who introduced him to French and Italian films as well as classic westerns. This early exposure led him to develop an interest in photography, where he spent countless hours honing his skills in the darkroom. After earning a master’s degree in Film Science from the University of Montpellier, Julien began working on film sets as a gaffer assistant. This experience ignited his curiosity in postproduction, ultimately leading him to work as an assistant to Senior Colorist Sandra Klass at Chimney Pot, Oslo.

Since then, Julien has contributed to over 60 feature films and numerous commercials, collaborating with acclaimed directors like Joachim Trier, Martin Werner, Reynald Gresset, and Martin De Thurah. He has also worked alongside esteemed DPs such as Daniel Voldheim, Jakob Ihre, Benjamin Loeb, Kasper Tuxen, Sebastian Blenkov, Daniel Bouquet, Khalid Mohtaseb, and Steve Annis, among others. Proficient in both Baselight and Resolve, Julien is based in Oslo and offers his services worldwide, both remotely and on-site.
